Default Parameter 13 with Extender chip

Anyone have any thoughts as to why I can't get to parameter 13 (TCC lockup) anymore? I never had a problem before. I've recently reinstalled my engine after a rebuild. I was trying to reset my parameters and I can't get to 13. INT says 12 with key on, in park, AC either on or off. My AC works so I don't think it's a system pressure problem, but ... Any ideas?

I'm surprised nobody jumped in on this. The only difference between 12 and 13 is whether AC is on or off so that has to be the issue.

Try this: Make up a small jumper wire with spade connectors on each end. Unplug the pressure switch plug in the AC drier. insert each end of the jumper into the connector holes, this will simulate AC on.

If that gets it into parameter 13 then your AC system needs attention.

Dave

I forgot about this little problem I have, but I was tinkering with the car tonight and I remembered that I never was successful with your recommendation. Even with the jumper, I can't access parameter 13. Do you know of any other tricks to diagnose this; like a jumper at the ECM pins or maybe one of the connectors at the compressor or something? Not sure why this became a problem after my engine re-installation. My A/C works too which makes it more puzzling for me.

Thanks
Mike
